So lord of the ringy

There might be orcs in the woods here but given the view and the wizard in the kitchen you will want to risk it. The forest is the biggest one in Iceland and from the jacuzzi behind the hotel the view over lake/river Lögurinn is sweet. The kitchen upholds an impressive quality given the size of the menu, and the buffet is one of a kind. A tasteful combination of delicacies arranged in an appetizing manner. I am in general not a huge fan of hotel buffets in Iceland, but in this case it is a winner. This is also one of the sure bets for finding well prepared wild game such as geese and grouse and of course the local reindeer. A short drive from Egilsstaðir that you will not regret.
