The settlement exhibition in Borgarnes, on the Snæfellsnes peninsula just north of the capital, is a worthwhile museum to visit with an exciting show about human settlement in Iceland and the legendary viking poet Egil Skallagrimsson. The center also has a great bistro which offers a wide range of light and tasty courses of excelent quality. The charming environment of rolling hills by the sea provides wonderful atmosphere while trying some of their local mussels or various vegetarian dishes. #landnam.is
