Between heaven and earth

When visiting Seyðisfjörður, take your time. It is just one of those places. Skálanes is at the mouth of the fiord about 17 km from the town itself. They could serve me sand and seawater here and I would still want to spend the night. But they do however serve a simple very satisfying menu soup for lunch and cod and lamb for dinner. The view is out of this world and that´s not counting the very real possibility of seeing puffins and humpback whales. After a day of hiking you might want to relax in the jacuzzi and feel yourself floating somewhere between heaven and earth. This is a place not to be missed. Just remember to call ahead and make a reservation.
